Father Of The Bride Toast:
When Kelly was little, it took her a while before she walked. We were starting to get concerned because, although she stood and held onto furniture, she never tried to take the one step, fall down, two steps fall down thing like most babies. She just didn't seem interested. One day she just let go of the baby gate and walked most of the way across the room, like twenty five steps. Somehow she knew she was ready. That day brought us way too fast to this day, but I loved being the proud father walking her down the aisle. The handoff at the altar was made a little easier because it was Daniel I was giving her away to.
Groomsman Toast Given At The Rehearsal Dinner:
Karen met Jack while getting her masters in Social Work, specializing in direct therapy. She's told me when she first laid eyes on him she saw a potential thesis.
The ceremony tomorrow will actually be a very special representation of Karen and Jack's relationship. He will get to the Chuppa and then we'll wait five minutes until Karen shows up.
Our grandmother won't like me pointing it out, but she is 96 years young. She was really excited to come to the wedding, not only to support the family, but to be in Phoenix... a city where she can feel like a teenager. I kid, Phoenix has a reputation for being an older population. That's absolutely not true. It's the oldest.
Mother Of The Groom Toast:
When they started dating, I didn’t make my opinion known to Scott right away, but I liked Diane from the moment I met her. I could tell things were going well when Scott gave up season tickets to the Lakers because he wanted to be with her instead of Kobe Bryant.
Father Of The Groom Toast:
Haley and Todd,
May the happiness you feel today grow as you both grow, may its strength be your strength.
May your joy be a gift you share with others.
May your laughter be a blessing at the very moment when it is most needed.
And may your lives be a great adventure.
Stepbrother's 40th Birthday Roast
...And as we know, on April 17, 1972, Tommy was born. So was baseball player Gary Bennet, football player Tony Boselli, hockey player Terran Sandwith and actress Jennifer Garner.
It was a huge day for sports, for beauty and for me. Even though I didn't know it at the time. I was a second grader who begged my parents daily to have another baby. I desperately wanted a brother. And then 31 years later, thanks to April 17th, 1972, I got a miracle: I saw Jennifer Garner buying asparagus at the Sunday farmer's market right across the street from where I live. Who would have thought I'd grow up to grocery shop with the stars?
And who would have thought life would give me the brother I'd been wishing for? You're literally a dream come true, Tommy. I love you. Happy birthday.
